Are you willing to sign our NDA?
Yes, we understand our client’s concerns regarding confidentiality and we have no issues signing a non-disclosure agreement for any project. Please feel free to attach it to our contact us form, it’ll be reviewed, signed and sent back.
Where is your office located?
CAD Drafting Solutions is located in Lakeville, Minnesota (a southern suburb of Minneapolis), unfortunately this is not a store location.
What is the preferred method of communication?

If you're still searching for a service provider and not sure what to do next or have some questions, please feel free to call and discuss your project; together we can come up with a solution. Just be aware no estimates are given out over the phone, especially without having your sketches or other relevant information to look at.

Once the project has started it's required to have drawing redlines, change requests, etc. documented in writing via e-mail. Some clients call to discuss all the changes that they would like (which has proven to be inefficient in time and budget) however changes won't be implemented until a follow up e-mail is received, as written documentation is still required. Thank you for understanding.

Communication is valuable throughout the entire project. It is highly recommended any comments or questions from either party be addressed in a timely manner.

How much will my project cost?
No two projects are alike in this line of work; prices will vary depending on the scale and scope of work involved of each project. If you can provide enough information by including sketches, pictures or relevant examples, an estimate can be provided to you upon your request. Projects can be billed on a lump sum, hourly or hourly not to exceed basis. Please feel free to send us a RFQ using our contact us form.
What are your turnaround times?
CAD Drafting Solutions services are on a first-come-first-serve basis however if you are up against deadlines, rush orders can be handled on a case by case basis. Otherwise turnaround times are based on the scale and complexity of each project and our current workload.
What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payments via Check, PayPal, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order.

Payment by check may require confirmation of check clearance prior to release of files for new customers. Please make checks payable to: CAD Drafting Solutions

PayPal paymentAll returned checks are subject to a $25 service fee. For PayPal payments please include an additional 10% for their transaction fees. You do NOT need a PayPal account to make a payment this way, just be sure to mention that you would like to pay via PayPal and an invoice will be sent to you (through PayPal) with a link. Direct credit card payments are not accepted for your security.

**If you are a new client, PDF drawings are watermarked and if applicable, no CAD files are released until full payment has been submitted, regardless of any deadlines.

What’s the process… how do we get started?

INITIAL CONTACT - Gather up your documents in regards to your project and submit those files in your initial contact unless of course a non-disclosure is required then that would be the first step. Along with your sketches, pictures, prints from the engineer/architect, other CAD files and/or relevant examples please be sure to include any deadlines that you may be up against and the overall goal you are trying to accomplish. We will then discuss your project and identify the scope of work needed by phone or e-mail.

ESTIMATE - After our conversation, an estimate and service agreement will be put together and e-mailed to you for your review. For new clients, a simple written agreement is provided so that we all have the same understanding regarding payment terms, deliverables, contact info, etc. and will require your signature before any work can begin. If there are any questions that we have, we will include them in our reply.

EXECUTION - Your project will begin. Depending on the size of the project, snapshots can be provided at regular intervals to keep you up to speed on the status. Once the project has started it's required to have drawing redlines, change requests, etc. documented in writing via e-mail. Your welcome to call and discuss any changes that you would like however changes won’t be implemented until a follow up e-mail is received, as written documentation is still required. Thank you for understanding. If it applies to you… send your company logos, title blocks, tolerances, preferences and so forth before work begins.

DELIVERY - Last but not least we will provide a draft file for you to review. At this time, check through and respond accordingly in a reasonable amount of time. Files are either emailed or made available by a Drobox download link. **If you are a new client, drawings are watermarked and if applicable, no CAD files are released until full payment has been submitted, regardless of any deadlines.

Communication is valuable throughout the entire project. It is highly recommended any comments or questions from either party be addressed in a timely manner.

Do you provide on-site services?

Unfortunately, no. Our services are provided to clients all throughout the United States and to serve everyone equally all work performed is done at our location.

In addition, scheduling the time and budget to travel to and from client’s locations takes the focus off what we love to do, that is 3D modeling and CAD drafting.

Do you have any referrals for a certified engineer, fabrication shop or prototype facility?
There are so many to choose from and there’s so many factors to take into account when making that decision. It’s best for you to make that decision based on your project needs and geographical concerns and hopefully be reassured of your choice after researching different providers. Some of you reading this may have already been in touch with a fabrication shop and have gotten turned away because they’re not in business to interpret your sketches into something their shop can read.
Can you provide certified stamped designs?
No, you will need to consult with an engineer (structural, mechanical, etc.) to validate the strength and integrity of your product. If your project doesn’t require a certified stamp, then we can work together to come up with a solution that will best fit your needs.
